It seems like every day we are introduced to new and unique ways to experience Google Glass. Today marks yet another huge milestone for the augmented reality wearable. A team of developers over at www.facialnetwork.com have released a demo video of their new facial recognition app “NameTag.” As you can see in the video, the app is capable of running scans across large databases like social networks, criminal databases, and even the National Sex Offender Registry.
Now even though this app is a huge leap forward for technology, don’t expect to start scanning faces galore just yet. As of now Google has yet to approve any third-party facial recognition apps, as privacy concerns are still on the table.
