Today marks the day that most techies have been waiting for, a sign that Google Glass will officially come to iOS. Google has now made this a reality with the launch of its “MyGlass for iOS” app. This move is by far Google’s best move yet and now we can officially confirm two things.
- There is a strong possibility that Google Glass will support more operating systems in the near future.
- An official consumer release is just around the corner!
Similar to the Android version, the new “MyGlass for iOS” app comes packed with great features to help guide you on your futuristic experience. Some of those features include Google Now, Gmail, contacts and the ability to get directions. Now even though iPhone users can now manage Glass more efficiently, the app itself lacks true iOS support. As of now iOS users still can’t send and receive iMessages.
Even with all the mixed opinions, most can agree that Google Glass is a move in the right direction. You can certainly expect to see more wearables released in the near future as more people start to adapt to this new technology. Wearable technology is here people and it’s here to stay!
